iMAGINE Board Members Present to City Leadership

Alexandria VA, March 26, 2008 — iMAGINE Directors Nancy Belmont, Brad Nierenberg, and Tate Linden met with City of Alexandria Mayor William D. Euille, City Manager Jim Hartman, Deputy City Manager Michelle Evans, and various members of Council today to pitch the iMAGINE Alexandria concept and gauge City support.

City leaders were visibly excited by the idea, showing a good understanding of the potential benefits to the City and making several recommendations to help further its progress. “Alexandria needs this,” stated City Manager Jim Hartman, “You were right – this is big. And it’s the right thing to do.”

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with commitments from the City leadership to help with gathering public support and identifying next steps.
