Alexandria, VA, February 7, 2008 — Nancy Belmont, CEO of Belmont, Inc. brought business leaders of the Alexandria creative industry together to discuss the formation of a center for commercial creativity within the city. Nancy’s concept is to create a physical location where creative professionals can meet, network, and exchange ideas.
Joining Nancy were Dennis Belmont, President of Belmont, Inc.; Bradley Nierenberg, President & CEO of Red Peg Marketing; John Harrington, CEO of NetBlender, LLC; Tate Linden, Principal of Stokefire; and Erik Muendel, Owner of Brightline Interactive.
The group discussed ways to make the concept a reality, including self-sustainability, funding sources, and viability. Through the discussion, the concept was expanded into a large complex, housing creative incubator space, conference facilities, and a juried commercial creative exhibition hall.
The group will have a follow-up meeting to further develop the concept, and discuss strategies for garnering public support and funding.
